Canada Post Strike May Impact Delivery of Municipal Documents

The Municipality of Grey Highlands is advising residents that the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has launched a national strike as of September 25, 2025, resulting in a full shutdown of Canada Post operations during the strike period.

This disruption will affect the timely delivery of important municipal documents, including:

• Property tax bills
• Water and wastewater bills
• Invoices
• Public notices

To avoid delays, missed payments, or penalties, the Municipality strongly encourages residents to use the following alternative options:

• Contact us directly via phone at 519-986-2811 ext. 400 or email for assistance
• Opt in to electronic billing to receive documents by email
• Enroll in our pre-authorized payment plan for automatic payments
• Make payments online through our secure portal

Important Reminder: It remains the responsibility of the account holder to ensure all payments are made by their respective due dates, regardless of any mail service disruptions.
